PASTOR CAROL V. TAYLOR
Pastor Carol V. Taylor is the daughter of Robert and Carol Smith of Aberdeen, MD. She serves as the Pastor/First Lady of Word of Faith International Outreach with her husband Elder Melvin T. Taylor, Senior Pastor. She is the proud mother to five children; Melvin, Takara, Taleya, Tiffany, and Grace, a step-daughter Ver-Anita and a host of other surrogate children.
Pastor Carol Taylor committed her life as a servant to the Lord in 1988. She received her foundational training at Zion Temple Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of her Pastors, the late Evangelist Dorothy V. Barnes and 3 years later under Elder Mark A. Moore.
Pastor Carol an ordained Evangelist has proven to be a diligent worker in the body of Christ as she has held many leadership positions within the church. She has worked with youth and adults for the past twenty one years along with founding after school programs, writing curriculum and providing programming for the ministry. She serves as the director for Women of Distinction and has traveled the state ministering to women.
In addition to the Church, Pastor Carol is very active in her community. She is a member of numerous boards and agencies in Harford County. She serves on the Harford County Cancer and Tobacco Coalition. She serves on the Harford County Board of Education Calendar Committee. She is a board member of the Y of Central Maryland Advisory Board and the Harford Family House Board of Directors. She served as a chaplain in the Harford County Detention Center for over two years and was instrumental in the development of the current prison ministries Word of Faith now has.
Pastor Carol holds various offices in Harford County as well. She is a Harford County Commissioner; and serves as Chairperson of the Youth Commission and the Women’s Commission ex-officio. She serves as the President of FACE-IT, which is a faith based coalition providing education, reducing risks uniting congregations and combating substance abuse here in Harford County. She serves as a monthly facilitator for Marriage Works of Cecil County providing marriage enrichment classes. She also serves as a facilitator for Celebrating Families, a court mandated program for children of alcoholics/addicts and their parents. She has opened in prayer and shared words of wisdom at many distinguished events being an example with in local and state government. She was also the Martin Luther King “2008 Humanitarian” award recipient.
Pastor Carol V. Taylor serves faithfully alongside her husband as an anointed teacher and preacher of God’s word. She has been blessed to travel to South America with her husband on one of his numerous journeys to minister.
Pastor Taylor is a true worshipper and lives her life in pursuit of an intimate relationship with God and a passion to encourage others to do the same. She has yielded herself to the Lord to be used as a prophetic vessel to speak a word for this season; a word to set the captive free and declare liberty to those who are bound. She has accepted her assignment in the Kingdom for such a time as this.
